... a night of culture and such...

Saturday night was a pretty huge event for my honeyLiPs... Rony was asked to jam at an open mic theatre/musical arts festival at the Cultural Center of Philippines. It was a cabaret act that started at around 10 PM. Bubu was so nervous before the show... kinda worried cause some of the people he invited to perform couldn't make it

...but anyhoo... night started as we got home from rehearsals... got ready at rony's place... he got upset cause i was gonna wear my favoritest jeans in the entire world (a 1969 Gap Blue Jeans with holes in 'em... a lot of holes, down to the crotch even. But i was gonna wear a nice sports jacket so it really would not have mattered)... but that made him cringe... so i dressed up nicely for once in my life (well at least decent enough) then we headed off to have dinner at this korean village restaurant over at malate.

fun fun fun.

we got to cook our own korean bulgogi in front of us. only problem with the place was the horrible ventilation system they have. After dinner, the stingy smell of korean buffet was resonating on our noses and clothes. i was full and rony treated... so i really am not complaining.

so on to CCP it was...

I was happy a bunch of BlueRep friends showed up to support our magical and ingenius musical director! Funny, Rony had this entire spiel ready, but some stoned guy just went up there and said.. "I'm singing." What an asshole... I think he works for CCP... some Ean or Ian guy... should be fired, but that's just my bloody opinion. Rony was caught off guard but he handled it well!

A bunch of people went up and sung. It was a mix of really good professional talent and really good BlueRep kapal mukhas! HEHE... oh did I sing?... yup with the BlueReppers... we did "Our Time" promoting our play Merrily We Roll Along this December at RCBC.

So where was I?

Oh yeah... it was fun fun fun... a lot of theatre people performed... Topper (was in Baby the Musical with Lea Salonga), Lana (Rent) , Sweet (of the Company and was in Honk), the cast of Merrily We Roll Along--- hehe! Chari (our Director) brought down the house and so did Jepoy…

but they couldn't have done it if Rony didn't accompany them... hehe... so biased noh?

as rony and jepoy we're jamming... the stage boyfriend and girlfriend (me and geegee) decided to have a little fun... so we took our pictures.


SUCH FUN!


the night ended well with Rony's friend Joshua... who was trained in Switzerlandor London or something sang a song from the garden of eden... bootyful!

I told Rony it would turn out fine... and it did. My baby is so popular now... the next Ryan Cayabyab... only hipper and gay... and maybe INTERNATIONAL! I LOVAH-LOVAH-LOVE YOU!

so yeah there goes my entry... haven't been bloggin that much... we just moved to another penthouse down the street (much more homey)... we are still waiting for a computer... and the phone line and DSL... agh... so annoying... here at my bro's office...
