... white christmas... veranda... long distance... and the like...

... we are well into the Christmas season as I am here finally blogging about the happenings and going-ons in my so called on this fourth day of Christmas...

but before that let me just say Thank you to my bubu for visiting Manila for more than a week to spend time with me before the holidays...

Had so much fun hanging out--- dinner with Angel and la familia, coffee and the accumulation of starbucks stickers i have yet to complete, sleeping in the tent, looking all spiffy for Jennie and Rein's wedding... being with friends rehearsals and over at Fuzion and going to the spa (except for that accident, so sorry about that bubu). I sure wished we spent the holidays together... but that time will come soon enough... got him a huge ass starbucks city mug that says manila so every time he drinks coffee, he'll think of me hihi. I told him to get me a hong kong one so we match! I hope his back is better and his dad who just fainted a while ago on their way to Disney is feeling better too.

*sigh*

So everyone must have celebrated Pasko one way or the other. I know some people have a nice old Christmas dinner then open their presents in the morning... Some just doze of till xmas morning and have a feast during breakfast and roll along on their bellies poofed out all day... And some like us, have it Filipino style with a night mass and noche buena in anticipation for this joyous event.

My sister Faye and nephew Aeden before church
Kuya and Ate Roma

Every year we dress as angels parading across the streets with our little wings and feather boas... oh wait... thats the white party...

well right now my parents are driving across the eastcoast, their first stop was jersey, onto philadelphia and now down to florida with mickey mouse and company...

so the rest of noche buena was upto my siblings and me... we wanted it the traditional way, how our parents would do it... we had our jamon, potato and chicken macaroni salads, and our own specialties--- mashed potatoes and salisburay steak, lasagna--- spicy chicken and tuna and good old beef lasagna, grilled porkchops and corn on the cob... hmmm and who can forget the quezo de bola that no one really touches... didnt have chestnuts this year so that was kinda sad... its never christmas without chestnuts, well for me anyway.... but everyone at home was in high holiday spirits and come midnight we were stuffing ourselves crazy... stayed up till about 4am making kwento with my siblings...

twas a nice feeling bonding with my sibling even though my parents werent around... thats how its gonna in the future and am glad we all get along and stand each other...

oh here are some pics from my parents US trip...

In Jersey outside my tita's house... the left second floor windows was where my room was when I lived there...

In the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia PA. At the hotel they stayed in for the Global Health Council conference they both presented in.

Dressing the part. Dr. Alexander and Dr. Fatima Pamintuan... sosyal!
... all spiffy and fabulous!

Miss my parents!
